Green Wind | Woman and Greyhound in Green Motion, 2026

Eva Tkachenko

A woman embraces a greyhound while both turn toward the same unseen point beyond the composition. Intense crimson and burgundy define their figures against broad currents of mint, pale green, turquoise, and cream, creating a vivid contrast between human and animal presence and the moving space around them.

The woman's long dark hair extends into the surrounding flow, visually connecting her with the wind that crosses the canvas. Her hands rest naturally across the dog, while their aligned profiles create a quiet sense of understanding. They do not need to look at one another to appear connected; instead, they seem to experience the same moment together.

The artist uses wind as an invisible force that passes through the environment and determines its direction. The work explores that rare feeling of sharing perception without words—the closeness of simply being beside another living being and responding to the world in the same way.

With its large horizontal format and unusual red-green palette, the artwork can become a distinctive focal point in a contemporary living room, bedroom, or study. It may also make a meaningful gift for someone who feels a particularly strong connection with dogs and values artwork centered on companionship and intuitive understanding.
