Description
A woman in flowing crimson fabric moves among scarlet ibises, their outstretched wings echoing the graceful curves of her raised arms. Vibrant reds and deep burgundy tones sweep across a luminous mint-green background, creating a dynamic composition in which the human figure, birds, and surrounding space seem to merge into one continuous movement.
Attraction explores the mysterious force that draws living beings toward one another. The woman neither directs the birds nor attempts to hold them. Instead, she belongs to the same flowing energy, her gestures responding to their flight as though they share an instinctive language that existed long before words.
The artist transforms attraction into something almost tangible. Sweeping brushstrokes, translucent layers, and overlapping forms suggest currents of movement passing through the composition. The birds' long beaks and expressive wings intersect with the woman's silhouette, blurring the boundaries between the human body and the natural world.
The artwork reflects the many forms of attraction: the instinct that guides migrating birds, the invisible connection between people, and the powerful emotions of love and desire. Bold yet fluid, the composition captures the beauty of surrendering to a force that cannot be seen or controlled, only felt.
Materials: Original acrylic painting on linen canvas, 80 × 120 cm (approximately 31.5 × 47.2 in). Unique, one-of-a-kind artwork. Certificate of authenticity included.
Shipping / Display: Shipped rolled in a protective tube. Requires stretching or framing after delivery.
Scarlet red, crimson, burgundy, raspberry red, dusty rose, mint green, sage green, pale turquoise, soft coral, dark brown.
For collectors drawn to expressive figurative art, symbolic animal imagery, and artwork exploring love, freedom, and the invisible connections between living beings. Its combination of feminine gestures and scarlet birds offers a powerful interpretation of attraction as a natural, instinctive force.
The large horizontal format makes this artwork particularly suitable for contemporary living rooms, spacious bedrooms, creative studios, and gallery-style interiors. The dramatic crimson palette creates a striking contrast with neutral walls, light wood, and understated furnishings, while the soft green background brings freshness and balance.
Style: Contemporary figurative painting, expressive symbolism, semi-abstract figurative art, gestural painting.
Presentation
Eva Tkachenko is a contemporary artist. In 2024, she completed individual training in painting and drawing under the guidance of an artist and educator.
Working with acrylic and ink on canvas, Eva Tkachenko explores repetition, transformation, and the cyclical nature of time. Figures, animals, and organic forms often appear doubled, reflected, or placed alongside one another, suggesting echoes of the same event rather than separate moments.
Her practice centers on the continuous movement between opposing states: blooming and fading, love and separation, death and birth. By interrupting this movement and holding it within a single image, Tkachenko creates a visual pause in which connections that might otherwise pass unnoticed become visible.
Color, layered surfaces, and physical traces play an essential role in this process. Rather than simply depicting an event, she is interested in what remains after it—the emotional and material residue that becomes the beginning of something new.
Through repetition and layering, Eva Tkachenko approaches painting as a way of slowing time, examining the intensity of human connection, and making transformation itself visible.
