Metamorphosis, 2025

Nino Bosikashvili

A visceral encounter with the subconscious. This 2021 acrylic painting blends mythological imagery with abstract energy. A white horse stands as a central anchor. Its form is solid yet ethereal. Above it, a human figure merges with the wind. Swirling strokes of emerald and deep teal create a turbulent atmosphere. The composition suggests a transition between states of being. It captures a moment of spiritual release.
The artist employs a dynamic brushwork technique. Light dances across the canvas in pale yellows and creams. These highlights contrast with the dark, moody depths of the background. Birds emerge from the chaos, adding a sense of fragile freedom. The narrative explores the intersection of human identity and nature. It evokes a feeling of transcendence. Every stroke contributes to a sense of fluid movement. The artwork balances raw emotion with technical precision. It invites the viewer into a dreamlike realm where boundaries dissolve. The palette transitions from earthy greens to celestial whites. This creates a powerful visual tension. The piece culminates in a study of light and shadow.
