Description
The gaze gets lost in a rigorous geometric game. Blocks of acid green and deep red organize themselves into a chessboard. The dark background serves to emphasize these chromatic contrasts. A spontaneous energy then disrupts this order. Projections of white paint and glittering flashes cross the canvas. The gesture is free. It creates a tactile and dynamic relief.
Acrylic and ink intertwine to explore the tension between structure and improvisation. The composition recalls a dialogue between geometric abstraction and abstract expressionism. Each line brings a new depth to the surface. The light catches the bright particles. It animates the composition according to the viewpoint. This work plays on the superposition of layers. It reveals a constant search for the material. The whole rests on a precise balance between rigor and fantasy. The canvas ends with traces of fluid paint and areas of marked visual density.
Presentation
Surrounded by artists in her family who were able to pass on to her the passion for creation, she grew up surrounded by works that were sometimes complex but also very endearing.
"My creative process begins with drawing, color and creative freedom, developing paintings through play and experimentation. I have a passion for painting landscapes, reflections in water and the sky.
I believe that a painting, an oil, a watercolour or as here pastels, can only really work if the initial drawing or idea has a strong compositional form. I have spent many hours studying artists such as Monet and Van Gogh as well as Art Nouveau.
My love of color is evident in all my works, it is always a joy to discover a vibrant color with its ability to give rise to works that are sometimes abstract or even unidentifiable, and therefore just for the pleasure of contemplation.
In general, my works present an intense use of colors, giving full life to the subject and engaging the spectator to enter a world apart, where the imagination holds a preponderant place."
