Description
The fragile balance between rigor and instinct animates this composition. Four panels are organized in a strict grid. Red dominates. It imposes itself forcefully on white and yellow backgrounds.
The gesture breaks free from the straight line here. Ink projections and jagged lines come to break the geometry. This dialogue between structure and chaos creates a constant visual tension. The artist plays with the material. Acrylic and ink intertwine to create layers of superimposed colors.
The approach recalls the formal research of geometric abstraction while injecting gestural freedom. Each area becomes a field of experimentation. The contrasts are stark. The flat areas confront the splatters.
The whole exudes a raw energy. The eye circulates from one rectangle to the other. This series explores the limit between architectural order and creative impulse. The final rendering emphasizes the density of the pigments and the precision of the framing. The work presents itself as a study on the deconstruction of form.
Presentation
Surrounded by artists in her family who were able to pass on to her the passion for creation, she grew up surrounded by works that were sometimes complex but also very endearing.
"My creative process begins with drawing, color and creative freedom, developing paintings through play and experimentation. I have a passion for painting landscapes, reflections in water and the sky.
I believe that a painting, an oil, a watercolour or as here pastels, can only really work if the initial drawing or idea has a strong compositional form. I have spent many hours studying artists such as Monet and Van Gogh as well as Art Nouveau.
My love of color is evident in all my works, it is always a joy to discover a vibrant color with its ability to give rise to works that are sometimes abstract or even unidentifiable, and therefore just for the pleasure of contemplation.
In general, my works present an intense use of colors, giving full life to the subject and engaging the spectator to enter a world apart, where the imagination holds a preponderant place."
