Description
This painting depicts an autumn landscape with a river or lake reflecting golden trees and the sky. At the center of the composition is a small boat with two people, gliding smoothly across the water. The background consists of dense trees, among which a small white structure can be seen, perhaps a chapel or a watchman's lodge.
The color scheme is soft, rendered in warm beige-gold and pale blue shades. The artist uses the technique of impasto strokes, creating volume and texture in the water, the trees and the air. In the lower corner of the painting are a signature and a date. The overall atmosphere of the work conveys the calm and quiet of an autumn day by the water.
