Obsesión, 2024

G. Fuentetaja

A study in tension and balance. This 2024 oil painting explores the dialogue between stillness and energy. A single jagged line descends through a luminous void. The composition breathes. Each segment shifts direction with architectural precision.
The palette remains disciplined. Deep earth tones clash softly against a pale atmospheric ground. These russet hues create a rhythmic pulse. The brushwork reveals a subtle texture. It suggests a physical fracture or a sudden break in silence.
The artwork belongs to the geometric abstract tradition. It rejects figuration to focus on pure form. The central motif vibrates against the neutral space. This contrast emphasizes the fragility of the line. It mimics a lightning bolt or a tectonic shift. The result is a meditative experience. The gaze follows the zig-zag path from top to bottom. This movement guides the viewer through a landscape of minimal expression. The oil medium provides a velvety depth. The surface remains smooth yet charged with latent force. Every angle is carefully considered to maintain a delicate equilibrium.
