A World of Our Own, 2026

In this work, the artist explores the quiet intimacy of belonging and the comfort of having someone with whom we can let go of the outside world. Two elephants rest closely together on a vivid red sofa, their bodies gently intertwined in a gesture of trust, tenderness, and mutual protection.

The elephants, symbols of strength, wisdom, and deep emotional bonds, are portrayed in a moment of complete vulnerability. Their relaxed postures suggest that true security is not always found in grand gestures or strong defenses, but in the simple presence of someone who makes us feel safe. The sofa becomes a small island of intimacy within an abstract environment of earthy brown, deep green, and warm cream tones.

The composition invites the viewer to reflect on the importance of emotional closeness — the rare comfort of being able to rest beside another without needing to explain, perform, or prove anything. Sometimes, happiness is simply having a shared space where the world grows quieter and we can be entirely ourselves.
