Description
This composition celebrates the intuitive power of color. Gestures flow across the canvas with rhythmic energy. Warm ochres merge with soft pinks and sudden flashes of deep red. Cool blue accents ground the movement. The artist treats the surface as a living landscape of memory. Each brushstroke feels spontaneous yet precise. Texture defines the depth of the piece. Organic forms emerge and dissolve within the chromatic layers. There is a cinematic quality to the lighting. The atmosphere evokes a sense of place without defining a specific location. Emotion is conveyed through the physicality of the paint. The palette balances earthy tones with vibrant highlights. This artwork explores the intersection of light and pigment. Shifting tones create a feeling of perpetual motion. The visual language remains open to interpretation. It captures a fleeting moment of sensory perception. The focus remains on the relationship between material and gesture. The scene concludes with a delicate interplay of pale flesh tones and stark artistic contrasts.
Presentation
Yulia Bulashenko (1990) is a Barcelona-based visual artist working primarily with abstract painting. Her practice explores color as a language through which to approach memory, emotion and the perception of place. Her compositions bring together organic and archetypal forms, intuitive gestures and shifting chromatic relationships, drawing from ancient visual languages and imagined landscapes.
Her background in film and visual media has influenced her approach to atmosphere and visual composition. In recent years, her work has evolved towards larger scales and a more material and research-driven practice, exploring the relationship between landscape, pigment and place through photography and experimentation with natural elements.
