Description
This composition is within the codes of street art. It opposes two silhouettes on a neutral background. A dark and imposing figure dominates the space. Its yellow eyes pierce the darkness of its form. Facing it, a little girl stands upright. She holds a bright red ball. This colorful circle immediately attracts the eye. The chromatic contrast emphasizes the fragility of childhood in the face of the unknown. The treatment of the contours recalls the stencil work. The artist uses acrylic and mixed media techniques here. The rendering evokes a mysterious, almost dreamlike scene. The composition plays on scales to create visual tension. The bright red of the ball becomes the focal point of the scene. This piece was made in 2026. Paint projections are observed which add dynamism to the whole. The support has rounded angles.
Presentation
"An artist who makes the sidewalk and art counting for nothing in Saint-Etienne." This is how, in a few words, Ladamenrouge presents himself.
For about ten years, he has realized about two hundred works. The artist has fun with everything he finds on the ground, the walls or in the street. "I never plan in advance what I'm going to do, it's really random.
In front of a blank page, I am unable to draw something, I need to be stimulated by what surrounds me," he explains.
His goal is to create a work that blends in with the environment: "I am satisfied when people don't immediately notice one of my drawings." Inspired by the street, his works are often humorous. "I did some political caricatures but I was not very comfortable, I prefer to be funny," he says.
