Description
The work "Dark Hole" has a double reference as always in the work of God Sylver.
A cosmic or spiritual reference.
And a reference more earthy, more basic in accordance with the most primitive human aspirations.
For the artist advocates a new earthly consciousness halfway between Man and God (or any form of cosmic consciousness).
So here we can at first glance imagine a black hole, discovered and theorized by Stephen Hawking, or a gaping spiralitic hole that would suck all the light and matter that would approach too closely.
But see also a sexual black hole, an organ that attracted in the same way any physical drive within reach ... Pure fantasy or ultimate solution to all problems of violence? Your turn to judge.
(The golden frame is an integral part of the work.)

Presentation
God Sylver is an American artist who lives in France since the 80s.
God Sylver work focuses mainly on the subjects of sex and money, which are according to him the two only motivations of man. His universe is categorical, raw and satirical. His vision of humanity is acerbic and pragmatic. He represents Western societies as he perceives them: dominated by greed and in search of power.
God Sylver uses gold as his main color in order to underline his purpose. He also works with golden leaf and liquid gold. Ironic, narcissistic and megalomaniac, his work undoubtedly recalls power and money.
