Description
Spring Water Joins Heaven is a fascinating abstract painting realized by the contemporary artist Li Lei in 2007.
This vertical original artwork represents an abstract composition in dark green and fluo-yellow. The brushwork is unexpected: the artwork shows large discontinuous strokes throughout the surface of the canvas. The green and the yellow do not merge but rather overlap, creating orange shades.
What really distinguishes this artist from any other is the spontaneity with which Li Lei approaches the empty canvas, filling it by means of different and unusual tools. The artist conceived a new way to create works of art. For this reason, he is considered one of the most important contemporary Chinese artists.
