Description
This artwork vividly captures a modern, stylish interior space through bold lines and vibrant colors. The composition features a cozy seating area with a blue-striped sofa, accented by vivid red cushions. A large window reveals lush greenery outside, bringing a sense of tranquility indoors. The yellow pendant lights hang meticulously, casting a warm glow over the space. A geometric staircase aligns perfectly with the right, adding depth and perspective. The use of color blocking, with distinguishing blues and reds, highlights the contemporary aesthetic. Unique artwork adorns the wall above a sleek dining table, enhancing the room's artistic flair. This creative blend of architecture and art transforms the ordinary into a lively, inviting environment.
Presentation
The worlds of fashion, society and pop culture are explored through the illustrations of Manuel Santelices, a Chilean artist and journalist living and working in New York for the last 20 years. After writing stories about style, design, art and politics for a number of magazines, including the Spanish editions of Elle, Harper's Bazaar and Esquire, and being fashion writer in New York for Vogue Mexico and Latin American for 7 years, Manuel decided to focus his attention to illustration, painting mostly with watercolors the same characters and events he covered as a journalist.
