Abstract equations, 2017

This artwork is a compelling exploration of form and texture, characterized by its intricate geometric patterns and monochromatic palette. The composition is dominated by a series of irregular, angular shapes, intricately interlocked to create a complex, mosaic-like structure. These shapes are outlined in a striking shade of purple that injects a subtle vibrancy into the otherwise grayscale tableau. The textured surface of the piece is notable, with an array of chalk-like markings that fill each geometric form, reminiscent of an abstract script or code. These inscriptions add depth and invite closer inspection, as if the viewer might uncover hidden messages within the abstract language. The background contrasts smoothly with the foreground, composed of a patchwork of varying patterns, including stripes, checks, and gradients, which further enrich the visual tapestry. This layered approach contributes to a sense of depth and dynamism, as the eye moves across the canvas, discovering new elements at every glance. A subtle use of color—a hint of red and yellow—punctuates the somber tones, strategically placed to guide the viewer’s attention and add warmth to the composition. This artwork stands out for its innovative use of space and texture, inviting viewers into a labyrinth of abstract thought and discovery. The interplay of form, line, and subtle coloration makes it an exemplary piece of modern geometric abstraction.
