Description
Original painting created in 1995 by Jacques Weyer, a singular figure in French Constructivist Abstraction.
This oil on canvas perfectly illustrates the rigorous artistic language developed by the artist from the mid-1990s onward. The composition is organized around rectangular planes in bold colors—white, black, pink, and green—arranged according to a precise geometric architecture, creating a subtle balance between chromatic tension and formal harmony.
The work belongs to the tradition of Constructivist Abstraction, heir to Suprematism and Neo-Plasticism, where color becomes structure and form is conceived as an autonomous space. In Weyer's work, the sobriety of artistic means is accompanied by a high degree of compositional rigor and a pronounced chromatic sensitivity.
A former immunology researcher at the Pasteur Institute (1968–1975), Jacques Weyer devoted himself fully to painting from 1975 onward, developing a demanding and coherent body of work. He exhibits regularly at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles as well as in several galleries in France, the United States, and Belgium.

Presentation
Born in Lyon in 1946, Jacques Weyer was an immunology researcher at the Pasteur Institute from 1968 to 1975. He began painting in 1975 and has devoted himself to constructed abstraction since 1994. He has exhibited in France (Salon des Réalités nouvelles, Galerie Philippe Gelot), in the United States (Galerie Anya Tish in Houston) and in Belgium (Hingene-Bornem, Galerie MG-ART in Zeebrugge and Galerie Andrès Van Hove in Antwerp).
