Description
Irène Jonas is a photographer and sociologist.
Born in 1957, she lives in Paris and in Le Guilvinec in southern Finistère.
Unique work, signed and numbered 1/1
Black and white print on baryta paper enhanced with oil paint.
"In childish summers there is a timeless je ne sais quoi. On this little beach in southern Finistère, where friends, cousins, cousins, nephews, nieces and grandchildren meet up every year, nothing stands in the way freedom of movement. The beach offers an unlimited playground and only the landscapes and activities vary with the rhythm of the tides. This pleasantly repetitive weather - beach, swimming, snack - gives a feeling of eternity, summer cannot end… Summer is never-ending. " Irene Jonas
The photographer has been represented by the revealing agency since 2016.
Through his professions as a sociologist and photographer, writing and images have always been present in his professional life. However, she broke away from sociological writing and photographic reporting, in order to develop a form of personal expression. For the past ten years, she has focused her personal and artistic research on plastic photography.
