Description
Why do we dream of a simple and unique image of Eden; What happens when pain represents our sanctuary...
This haunting artwork, drenched in crimson hues, is a visceral exploration of horror and the grotesque. The central figure, with an eyepatch and feral snarl, commands the viewer's attention. Stark white fangs gleam menacingly, contrasting the dark, blood-streaked skin that envelops the body. The intensity of the colors draws the eye across the canvas, while tangled rivulets of red suggest violence and transformation. The use of shadow and light adds depth, emphasizing the unsettling presence of the figure's one glowing eye, which pierces the darkness with an almost supernatural intensity. This piece captivates through its bold, unsettling imagery, challenging perceptions of beauty and fear, and evoking an instinctive response with its raw visual power. The imagery leans into themes of chaos and survival, effectively capturing a moment frozen in terror.
Presentation
Léa Bon is an androgynous fashion and art photographer, with a unique, personal and spiritual body of work. Dreams and fantasies from the past and present are portrayed by Léa Bon's subjects, which she uses as her own personal dolls.
At a young age, Léa Bon found in photography the means by which she could construct her own small worlds using her imagination. Her work breaks with the stereotypes of traditional photography and goes beyond the human eye; it is a fusion between art, fashion, and humanity, evoking surrealism, expressionism, and hyperrealism.
She has done multiple exhibitions about her life, among them “First Cycle-Innocent Vision", composed of 25 works of art that portray her personal journey. Her photographs have been published in numerous fashion and art magazines around the world.
