Presentation
Born in Chile, trained at the Professional Institute of Art and Communication and at the Photo-Art school in Santiago de Chile, Carlos ARRIAGADA first worked for more than 12 years as an independent photographer in the sectors of fashion, advertising and publishing. At the same time, he developed his artistic work through video and especially photography, and began to exhibit across Latin America.
In 2001, he decided to settle in Paris and dedicated himself fully to his work as an author, favoring a minimalist and sincere approach.
His works have been the subject of individual and group exhibitions in galleries and museums, including:
Diego Rivera Museum - Mexico City
Drugstore Gallery - Santiago de Chile
Museum of Contemporary Art - Santiago de Chile
L'Oréal Space - Santiago de Chile
House of Culture of Mexico - Santiago de Chile
Pierre Verger Gallery - Bahia - Brazil
Cultural Center of Sao Paulo - Brazil
Ziewood Gallery – Buenos Aires - Argentina
Center for Modern Art - Guilmes – Argentina
Gallery The Private Museum - Paris
Nuts Gallery - Paris
International Festival of Latin American Photography - Paris
Photographic itineraries in Limousin - Pavillon du Verdurier, Limoges - France
Les Automnales de Pontigny - France
His photographs are among the works chosen by Spanish decorator Luis Bustamante for the decoration of the 4* Hotel Seventy in Barcelona, inaugurated in 2021.
