Description
This artwork is a mesmerizing exploration of light and texture, capturing the ethereal essence of a human face shrouded in shimmering gold glitter. The glitter creates an almost cosmic aura, imbuing the surface with a celestial glow. The interplay of light and shadow on the textured surface conveys depth and mystery, inviting viewers to ponder the hidden emotions beneath the sparkling exterior. The abstract quality of the piece challenges conventional portraiture, emphasizing the transformative power of light and material. The composition's uniqueness lies in its ability to evoke both familiarity and enigma, transforming the mundane into the magical with dazzling brilliance. This piece stands as a captivating testament to the fusion of human form and luminous abstraction.
Presentation
Well-known for her fashion photography, Andrea Zvadova was able to show her creative side by printing her photos on watercolor, glass, silk and canvas paper. She uses the cyanotype printing process to create a floral decor, which reminds us of our sunny strolls through the fields. She also used an oil printing process from the 19th century, which needs great technical skills and patience.
These rare printing procedures give her work a unique style, as she can't create two identical copies.
