Strates de couleurs, 2023

This painting reminds me of housing projects, where old buildings are being adorned with colorful stucco. Projects bursting with life, where neighbors live side by side, where people don't cast harsh glances at one another, where social diversity is a virtue, a duty, where peace reigns, where mutual support is the norm, unchanging. Where individualism is forbidden. But this is utopian, because today, and increasingly in the near future, because it's palpable, dissension is and will be widespread. We have preconceived notions about everything and everyone. Which is a shame, because our wealth lies in the diversity of peoples all around the world.

This artwork captivates with its dynamism and chromatic richness. An abstract composition dominated by bursts of vibrant colors—yellow, pink, turquoise—contrast sharply with the deep black background. The overlapping geometric shapes create an impression of depth and movement, evoking a vibrant metropolis under urban lights. Vertical lines, resembling the shadows of skyscrapers, add an intriguing architectural dimension. The stark contrasts between light and dark tones intensify the visual drama, capturing the viewer's attention. The aesthetic recalls urban style while offering a contemporary interpretation of the interplay between visual chaos and harmony. This piece embodies the fusion of digital art with traditional painting techniques, establishing a poignant dialogue between order and disorder, light and darkness.
