Description
Collated print on dibond
Digital photo paper print fujiCristal
A silhouette stretches vertically in an abstract setting. The body fragments into horizontal segments. These strata create a hypnotic repetition effect. Two faces press against each other at the top of the composition. Their gazes are masked by glasses with geometric and round shapes.
The digital technique transforms the photograph into a dreamlike vision. The colors oscillate between warm ochres and deep blues. The image grain brings an organic texture to the whole.
The human figure becomes a modern totem. The embrace multiplies along the torso. This accumulation suggests a temporal fusion or superimposed memory. The contrast between the rigidity of the structure and the tenderness of the gesture strikes the mind.
The artist explores here the boundary between figurative portrait and abstraction. The hazy background evokes a rocky landscape or a worn wall. The lower part of the body is stabilized in a classic denim blue. This 2026 creation questions the perception of affective connection.
Presentation
Plastic artist and photographer
Marie-Rose Pisano develops a singular artistic approach around matter, the body, and human representation. Through photography and woodworking, she explores the forms, appearances, and transformations that reveal the presence of the human in their environment.
Her series "Anthropomorphs" testifies to her interest in the anthropomorphic forms that emerge from matter. Wood becomes a support for artistic exploration, revealing silhouettes and figures that are sometimes naive, sensitive, strange, or unsettling. Her work invites the viewer to discover a human dimension in sometimes unexpected forms.
With "Body in display," the artist also addresses the representation of the body through photography. She is interested in mannequins and display cases, visually questioning the boundary between human presence, appearance, and representation.
Her artistic universe is thus based on a dialogue between the real and the imaginary, between natural materials and constructed forms.
Through her different series, Marie-Rose Pisano offers a personal look at the objects, bodies, and materials that surround us, inviting everyone to pay new attention to the forms of everyday life.
