This artwork is a striking still life composition featuring an arrangement of ripe pears and a single red fruit on a polished metallic plate. Set against a dark, moody background, the tableau exudes a sense of depth and mystery. The pears, with their varied golden hues and organic forms, are meticulously detailed, showcasing subtle gradients and textures that evoke a tactile realism. The composition is balanced by delicate sprigs of greenery that add an element of liveliness and contrast, enhancing the visual interest. The reflective surface of the plate adds a sense of sophistication, capturing fragmented reflections that contribute to the overall harmony and balance of the scene. This masterful play of light and shadow heightens the dramatic effect, making the artwork a captivating study of color and form that draws the viewer into its serene elegance.

The bodegones are a pictorial interpretation based on a research project of the famous chef Juan Carlos Franco, on old food recipes of different periods in history. The photographer recreated the images inspired by paintings and images from these eras, also finding inspiration from artists such as Leonardo DA Vinci, Albrecht Dürer, and others.
