This artwork is a striking still life composition featuring two richly hued red onions and an ornate, dark metal teapot. Set against a shadowy backdrop, the vividness of the onions' deep purple-red skin contrasts sharply with the teapot's muted metallic surface. Positioned on a rustic wooden cutting board, the textures of each element are highlighted under subtle lighting, enhancing their tactile qualities. The teapot, with intricate engravings and a classic form, adds an element of sophistication and historical depth. The onions, with their natural forms and slightly glistening surfaces, bring a sense of organic vitality. This juxtaposition of natural and crafted objects creates a dynamic visual narrative, inviting viewers to ponder the interplay between the simplicity of everyday life and the elegance of artistic expression.

The bodegones are a pictorial interpretation based on a research project of the famous chef Juan Carlos Franco, on old food recipes of different periods in history. The photographer recreated the images inspired by paintings and images from these eras, also finding inspiration from artists such as Leonardo DA Vinci, Albrecht Dürer, and others.
