This striking artwork presents a monochrome portrayal of a woman partially shrouded in shadow, emphasizing dramatic contrasts between light and darkness. The subject stands in profile, her form elegantly highlighted against the dim background. Intriguing elements of texture are evident, with what appears to be fluid streaks on her skin, adding depth and complexity to the image. The chiaroscuro effect intensifies the emotional resonance, evoking a sense of mystery and introspection. The artist’s masterful use of shadow and light not only accentuates the contours of the figure but also creates a palpable tension and drama. A subtle red stamp or signature in the corner adds a touch of color, possibly signifying authenticity or an artistic flourish. This composition seamlessly blends elements of realism and abstraction, inviting viewers to engage with its enigmatic narrative and explore its layered meaning.  One of a series of works looking at the female form and introspection, with the print of a photograph on a metal board.
