Description
This giclee print is made from my original artwork, also available for sale. It captures the atmosphere of a perfect après-ski moment in a winter landscape, where the fresh mountain air meets the intense taste of a glass of red wine. Snow-capped peaks stretch as far as the eye can see, while the dark silhouettes of fir trees are outlined against rolling white hills, where a charming alpine village is nestled. This scene combines romance, tranquility and pleasure, where the silence of nature mixes with the joy of the moment.
The focal point of the composition is a table with two wine glasses and a bottle, introducing a refined still life element and highlighting the elegance of a minimalist yet expressive modern style. The work incorporates influences from pop art, with bold black lines shaping the landscape in a sophisticated technique inspired by line art. The deep red hue of the wine, with its elegant drips on the glasses and bottle, symbolises warmth and passion, bringing a vibrant touch to the whole.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
