Description

Created at the height of the Pop Art movement, this is a seductive and iconic color lithograph by celebrated British artist Allen Jones.

Signed and dated in pencil by Allen Jones at the lower right.

Numbered at the lower left.

The work captures the provocative blend of fashion, desire, and graphic clarity that defines Jones' unique artistic language.

The lithograph was printed by Ian Lawson and published by Petersburg Press, London.

Literature : documented in the catalogue raisonné by Livingstone-Lloyd ref. number 51.

The lithograph presents a rear view of a stylized female figure, rendered in vibrant, gradient tones of pink and orange, highlighting the glossy textures of latex stockings and stiletto heels.

The figure exudes sensuality and empowerment, with a pose that is both assertive and performative. Jones' expert use of lithography enhances the slick surface and glamorous allure, reinforcing his fascination with the commodification of desire. The minimalist background focuses attention entirely on the figure, turning her into a pop-cultural icon.

This print is a quintessential example of Jones' mastery in merging fine art with fetish aesthetics.

The work is professionally framed in our own frame-shop.
