Description
The work portrays an iconic image reinterpreted in a contemporary way, blending classicism and modernity. The subject, suspended like a balloon, boasts platinum blonde hair and a contemplative expression. What is striking is the reproduction of numerous intricate tattoos on the arms and torso, elements that blend pop culture and personal symbolism. Each tattoo adds a narrative dimension, inviting the viewer to explore hidden stories. The balloon, with its uniform pastel color, creates an elegant contrast with the vibrant, colorful details of the tattoos. The technique employed is refined, capturing the shine and texture with extraordinary skill. The artist uses a reduced palette to accentuate the subject's details, without distractions. This piece invites a reflection on the duality between public image and hidden individuality, encapsulating a sense of lightness and emotional depth.
Presentation
Of English origin, "M" studied art at Greenwich Community College and the City of Westminster College, graduating with a Master of Art from the Royal College of Art (RCA). He specialized in decorative sense, and with the use of the computer he began to process images, especially of icons, transforming or adding extremely unthinkable details.
The use of everyday objects, but for some characters unusual, has always been the characteristic of the works of "M". From his first exhibitions in London, Berlin, Miami and Milan his whimsical and eclectic artistic touch integrands is part of the character drawn with quiet kindness, no disrespect to them. His works are easy aesthetic understanding and reach a large catchment area.
