This two-color silkscreen print, titled Big Babol (2024), plays with memory, pop culture, and Raul's unmistakable graphic language. The title refers directly to the iconic colors of bubble gum, echoed here through the intense contrast between electric blue and vibrant pink.
At the center of the composition, a dense circular form contains a constellation of Raul's signature marks—repeated, layered, and interwoven like a coded alphabet. These symbols, a recurring element in his visual vocabulary, evoke movement, rhythm, and urban calligraphy, transforming simple gestures into a dynamic field of energy. The circle becomes both a focal point and a symbolic nucleus: playful on the surface, but structurally rigorous beneath.
Printed on Fabriano artistic paper, the work measures 56 × 76 cm and was produced in a limited edition of 30 copies signed and numbered by Raul.
Created upon his return from Japan, the print reflects a moment of synthesis in Raul's practice, where international influences meet his distinctive urban traits. The result is a vibrant, contemporary work that balances spontaneity and control, pop references and graphic discipline—an intimate snapshot of the artist's evolving visual language.

Raul was born in Pescara (Italy) in 1980. Gesture is the key element of Raul’s works.
Instinct, speed, color, emotional dirtying, passionate streaks, hugs of the brushstrokes. Everything matches with gesture which gets always immediate, hot, sudden.
The vision of this young artist from Pescara is pervaded by a variety of sensations which stretch the brain with a pincer, give gooseflesh with a shake, let swell with a cold shower and reflect the idea of infinite emerging from the en- counter with the other and his face.
Raul paints with a primitive speed since his painting is a way to materialize an emotion. So his faces belong to people he meets in his travels, the streaks are the streets he walks, the marker strokes are thoughts taking a place without support.
