Description
Printed on Forex, 3D assembled. This vibrant and captivating artwork juxtaposes styles and elements to create an intriguing whole. Against a purple background, two paintings in a style inspired by outsider art are displayed. The larger one, on the left, teems with bright colors and intersecting lines, depicting a stylized, text-based human figure. On the right, a smaller work incorporates graffiti and enigmatic phrases, adding a dimension of mystery and irreverence. In the lower right corner, an expressive, cartoonish, two-dimensional character seems to interact playfully with the whole, drawing on the purple wall. This work engages in a dialogue between the controlled chaos of the pictorial elements and the childlike energy of the animated character, lending the piece a fascinating dynamism. The artist successfully blurs the lines between different styles, creating a unique visual experience.
Presentation
The Pître Artist is a painter and sculptor who has been active in Paris for about twenty years. A darling of the Île-de-France art scene for his creative madness, his vibrant exhibition openings, and his improbable costumes, he consistently brings a whimsical and comical vision to everything he touches. A devotee of sprawling collections, with hundreds of original, three-dimensional creations to his name, he surprises us with exuberant ephemeral installations and unsettles us with disconcerting sculptures. Hyper-productive, he always makes sure to take off and land where he's least expected. If you tell him that "ART is DEAD," he'll take offense and draw and create a warning sign for you: because with him—perhaps—"THE RAY BITES!" QED?
Completely self-taught, the artist PITRE has never stopped teasing the paintbrush. From the first scribbles in the margins of his poems on his school notebooks, to his first youthful works on washing machine packaging cardboard, his first cuts with a box cutter in the linoleum of his room (to make his mother scream), his first paintings, copies and parodies of Master paintings… he owes his know-how and style only to his experiments, his attempts, his research, his failures and the tenacious continuity of his practice.
His studies, experiences and diplomas in the world of theatre - for 15 years - have allowed him to add to his bow this incredible inventiveness of spatial arrangement, decorum, costumes, sense of spectacle in his compositions as much as in his opening-fairs, where animation and thematic folklore flourish and contribute to the joyful chaos of his "improbable" exhibitions... indescribable.
