Description
This artwork depicts an ape-like figure covered in the colors of the American flag, its mouth displaying teeth encrusted with stones, transforming its jaw into a display case. Its gaze is neutralized by opaque glasses: no longer a subject, only a surface.
In the background, the infant figure explicitly alludes to Donald Trump, reduced to a naked, seated, childlike body, compressed into a grotesque posture. This is not a caricature: it is a regression. Power is reduced to a pre-symbolic state, incapable of articulating anything other than a mere presence. The adult disappears, leaving only a manipulable, displayed, emptied object.
Around it, the ruins, the skulls lined up before the flag, the mechanical repetition of banknotes establish a simple logic: production of death, recycling into an image, redistribution into an icon. The flag unites nothing; it serves as a backdrop to a chain of transformation where destruction becomes a decorative motif.
The central figure is not an actor in this system. It is the stabilized product of this: national identity reduced to a texture, power reduced to a doll, violence reduced to a pattern. No conflict, no resolution. Just a self-validating loop.
