Description
This 2024 screenprint captures a suspended moment. The image is inspired by old photographs to explore memory and family ties. The black ink line redraws the silhouettes with precision. The contrast between shadow and light structures the composition.
Three figures stand by the water's edge. The scene evokes the simplicity of a summer day. The graphic treatment recalls period prints while asserting a visual modernity.
The artist intervenes with sobriety. Touches of turquoise blue break the monotony of black and white. These areas of color bring immediate freshness. They suggest the presence of water and the clarity of the sky.
The eye circulates between geometric shapes and organic curves. The whole forms a collective portrait imbued with softness. This work plays on the fading of time and the persistence of memories. The final rendering is characterized by a rigorous balance between the emptiness of the paper and the density of the inks.

"From forgotten photos, witnesses of anonymous lives, I let myself be guided by these fragments of memory, moments of happiness shared by the water, under the summer sun, and try to find reflections of life there. . I redraw in Indian ink, the shadow and the light and add color to these black and white images, blurry, erased by time. Stories are told, families come together, thus these portraits are born. "
