Description
The image captures a suspended moment, from forgotten photographs. The black ink line precisely draws a group of vacationers. Their silhouettes, dressed in period costumes, evoke anonymous memories and moments of summer camaraderie.
The work relies on a marked contrast between figurative drawing and abstraction. Broad areas of color are superimposed on the scene. A deep red anchors the figures to the ground. A light sky blue and a dark shape structure the composition.
This screen printing technique brings to life fragments of memory erased by time. The artist transforms an old cliché into a modern graphic composition. The dialogue between the precision of the line and the freedom of the colored shapes creates a rigorous visual balance.
Realized in 2024, this print explores the nostalgia of everyday life. The final rendering plays on the transparency and superposition of ink layers. The whole unfolds on paper with neutral tones.

"From forgotten photos, witnesses of anonymous lives, I let myself be guided by these fragments of memory, moments of happiness shared by the water, under the summer sun, and try to find reflections of life there. . I redraw in Indian ink, the shadow and the light and add color to these black and white images, blurry, erased by time. Stories are told, families come together, thus these portraits are born. "
