Description
This sculpture merges classical ceramic traditions with a surrealist vision. A pale visage emerges from white porcelain. Gold veins trace a delicate network of fractures across the skin. These kintsugi-inspired lines suggest a beauty born from fragility and repair. Two blue butterflies mask the eyes. Their wings carry intricate floral patterns reminiscent of traditional Delftware. The deep cobalt hue repeats on the lips and the high collar.
The composition balances stillness with organic movement. Every painted petal feels precise. The contrast between the milky white surface and the intense blue creates a hypnotic focal point. It is a meditation on identity and metamorphosis. The tactile quality of the glazed surface invites a sense of preciousness. This artwork transforms a static bust into a poetic narrative about healing and hidden sight. The gaze is replaced by nature. The gold seams bind the fragmented pieces into a unified whole.
