It is at the age of 5 that Sophie Griotto pushes the door of her first art class.
Since then, she has never stopped drawing, "cooking the material", looking for the attitude and personality of her characters.
His job is to paint the shadows to bring out the light. "The shadow allows me to define volumes with as little contour as possible."
Her eye is touched by the contemporary woman, and often, the Parisian woman.

Presentation
Sophie Griotto was born in 1975 in Alès. She studied applied arts in Nîmes and then in Toulouse before moving to Paris where she worked for a large advertising agency. In 1988, she started working as a freelancer, as a storyboarder, which led her to make films for prestigious houses such as Dior or Jean-Paul Gaultier. She then decided to turn to illustration in 2003.
Her illustrations are inspired by the world of fashion, the world of media, the world of childhood and poetry. Women play a main role in her creations, she is represented in all her modernity.
Sophie Griotto uses a lot of fabric, which allows her to highlight the colors and patterns.
In 2014, Sophie Griotto was entrusted with the decoration of a Parisian hotel located at the rue de la Paix.
The illustrator is part of the art book "100 Illustrators" as well as in "Illustration now, Fashion" by Taschen.
