Milko Dobrev

He has graduated from the National School of Fine Arts and the National Academy of Arts with a specialty in sculpture. Diploma number from the Academy, from 06.03.1984. He has participated in more than 70 national exhibitions and 10 independent ones in Bulgaria, Norway, Belgium and Italy. His pieces of art are owned by the Bulgarian National Gallery, the Ministry of Arts and other galleries in Bulgaria, as well as private collections in Bulgaria, USA, Italy, Germany, Japan, France, and 10 more countries.  Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1990. 

What inspires me are the complex movements and states of the human body, as well as captivating and saturated with depth human faces. People who search, find and discover. The non-standard ones that are more often in a state of urge –  ''the flying people''. I love making such compositions, as well as birds – a symbol of freedom, latitude, and grace. I prefer bronze as a material for my sculptures, because of its unlimited capabilities of influence. I define my style as associative.''
