Description
Elegant standing female figure in motion. This piece is one of the last figurative sculptures from the beginning of the sculptor's career where he attached himself to the human silhouette to express his search for balance in movement.
This metal sculpture rises with an airy elegance, revealing a elongated and modern female form. The artist used a remarkable technique in working metal to create fluid and harmonious lines, giving the piece a light yet solid look. The character, while high, presents delicate but assertive curves. The head is subtly tilted, with a stylized hairstyle evoking movement and grace. The arms, slightly curved, seem to move forward with some fluidity, suggesting movement and life.
The contrast between polished surfaces and rougher textures accentuates the complexity and depth of the work. This sculpture is not only a representation of the human form, but a testimony to the technical mastery and artistic vision of its creator. It embodies a perfect balance between abstraction and reality, between robustness and delicacy, while having an imposing and elegant presence. It is a work that invites contemplation and admiration of the timeless and modern beauty of the female figure.
Presentation
Energy of Movement, Mineral radiance, Balance of composition
Guillaume Roche creates stainless steel sculptures with powerful lines and aerial movements. The artiste, graduated from the National School of Applied Arts of Paris, is born in France and works in his studio near Paris.
His search of form is based on the transformation of raw material. Energy and eruption are the key words of his works, while his shapes are purified and softened by the erosion of time.
Stillness after the storm!
A mineral spirit blows on his sculptures. The life bloods of nature are his source of inspiration: chaos of stones, ever changing winds, camaieux of the sea, clear or violent skies. From his works comes out a sense of ultimate poetry. His mastership of evanescent colors and the luminosity of stainless steel shaded from white to black are to be noted. His works, with its controlled stability are right at the limit of fulcrum and invite us in a world where duality is pacified.
