Nili Pincas

Unique sculpture in coated terracotta. Signed by the artist.
The contemplative creatures of Nili Pincas, of extreme refinement, invite silence. This isolation of the sculpted being grips and soothes, at the same time as it questions and plunges us into introspection. The white or purple, powdered flesh, with a slightly grainy matte appearance, reveals the infinite sensuality of the artist's touch. Nili Pincas invites us on a journey to the heart of the oceans, populated by enormous protective fish which accompany men in their dreams. Because these are metaphors, spiritual quests, dreams of escape... these “daughters of fire” carry us away! Apparently fragile, they are nevertheless firmly anchored in reality and impose themselves with force. Powerful, almost virile in the rigor of their posture, these women sit like modern goddesses, unshakeable totems. Reassuring, peaceful, they impose a distance from the whirlwind of existence and offer a rare moment of serenity.
