A leading member of the Japanese CrazyNoodles studio founded by Hiro Ando, Saori Nakamishi continues to redefine Nippon Neo-Pop through emotionally charged pop sculptures, as demonstrated in PokeHeart Whispers: Saori's Red Valentine.
Part of the series Kawaii Chronicles: Enchanted Pokémon Dialogues in Plexi-Wonderland, the work presents stacked plush Pokémon arranged on transparent Plexiglass tiers, transforming childhood icons into a contemporary sculptural narrative.
The cylindrical structure, bathed in warm red tones, evokes the visual language of Valentine symbolism while preserving kawaii innocence.
At the top level, Pikachu radiates joyful energy, embodying affection, friendship, and playful connection.
The next tier features Jigglypuff, symbol of tenderness and emotional comfort through its soothing musical aura.
Below, a ring of Squirtle figures introduces a spirit of adventure and renewal, reinforcing themes of growth and discovery.

Presentation
Saori Nakamishi studied aesthetics and art, after she finished her studies she decided to focus all of her talent on creating original illustrations, highly influenced by Manga. She currently lives and works in Japan. Her work is mainly realistic, yet deeply influenced by manga aesthetics and its topics. In her illustrations, She depicts beautiful and sexy young women, in a Lolita style. Erotic but innocent images of girls, with names like Cherry, Angel, Jewel or Heart surrounded by numerous fantastical creatures or symbols. Saori Nakamishi combines traditional Japanese manga and neo-pop colors in her works. In 2005, she worked with the artist Hiro Ando to create an studio called "Crazynoodles Studio", dedicated to the promotion of young neo-pop artists inspired by Manga and Kitsch. Today the Studio represents 15 artists and distributes their work everywhere around the world, from Paris to Tokyo with a total freedom of expression. Crazynoodles tries to fight against western, somewhat elitist, art.
