This Japanese aesthetic concept is that of a subtle, diffuse beauty, made of infinite resonances which refers to the mysterious beauty of the world.
This sensitivity is found in the nature that surrounds us and is expressed most magnificently through wood.
Each plot of wood reflects a life, an incredible and unsuspected experience. Like a rough diamond that must be polished and faceted to give it its shine, it only asks to be adorned with its most beautiful finery to shine and reveal its splendor to us.

Presentation
Agnes K. lives near Aix en Provence and carves wood in her studio bathed in Provencal light. Wood is a noble material, alive, demanding, shape shifting and in constant evolution depending on the weather conditions and the environment.
But it is above all a material that awakens the senses: sensual, warm, comforting and pleasant to the eye as well as the touch, with scents specific to each essence.
These are the aspects that she highlights in her art: sublimating the wood in itself, its colors, its touch, its distinctive elements; either starting from a piece of raw wood by allowing it to tell a story, or by sculpting or turning the wood to bring out a shape, a line.
She particularly attaches great importance to the play of lights, the contrasts, the shadows, which give emphasis and depth to her pieces.
