Description
Feet on the Ground III is a sculpture by contemporary French artist Eric Valat.
The bear, a figure directly inspired by childhood, appears regularly in Valat's sculptural bestiary. After his Bear Armchairs in brightly colored and dynamic polyester, Valat continues his exploration of the bear with this small bronze sculpture. Here, the artist seeks to reinvent the traditional representation of the animal, showing it with its arms stretched out in front, as if it wanted to embrace someone or something. The shapes are worked towards purity and harmony, and the patina in marbled green tones gives it elegance and lightness.
