Description
Inspired by her trip to Colombia and in particular to the Guajira desert, bordered by the crystal clear Caribbean Sea, Marion Clavier offers a sublime example of contemporary glass art capturing the essence of water with rare virtuosity.
Made entirely of turquoise glass, sometimes deeply sandblasted, the panel evokes the fluid and sinuous movements of waves. The silver weld lines that cross the surface add an organic dimension, recalling the light reflections on an aquatic surface. The transparency of the glass allows the light to play through the work, casting delicate shadows. The precise cutting technique, combined with a harmonious composition, gives the whole a refined elegance.
