Description
The lush plant material depicted evokes the symbiosis between nature and human beings. The long yellow and green strands seem to blend harmoniously into an environment of leaves and vegetation, symbolizing fertility and growth. The bold choice of bright colors creates a vibrant scene that immediately captures the eye. The varied textures, combined with a skillful play of light, add depth and tactile dimension. The posture of the figure, both majestic and serene, invites reflection on our connection to nature. The inventive use of materials gives the work an organic and mystical feel, transforming the sculpture into a poetic tribute to biodiversity and harmony with the natural environment.
““Arbre" embodies life, eternal energy and a deep connection with the earth. This work draws its inspiration from the infinite cycle of nature, symbolized by woven threads and beads evoking roots, branches and foliage. The green and gold tones reflect the richness and vitality of the earth, as well as the light that nourishes life. Through a play of textures and materials, I seek to translate the constant flow of energy that circulates between the earth and the sky. This piece invites us to meditate on the power and harmony of nature, recalling the interconnection between all forms of life."
Presentation
Youngmi Kim is a French artist of Korean descent. She holds a Master's degree from the London College of Fashion, a Master's degree from the Institut Français de la Mode, HESAM University in Paris, and a Brevet des Métiers d'Art - specializing in hand embroidery from the Lycée Octave Feuillet in Paris.
“I celebrate the dynamics of natural elements through a fusion of textures and colors. Through my creations, I seek to convey a deep emotion, a connection between the observer and the aesthetic harmony of nature in motion. I seek to translate the constant flow of energy that circulates between the earth, the sea, and the sky. It is an invitation to meditate on the power and harmony of nature, recalling the interconnectedness between all forms of life."
