Ophelia Jacarini is a French artist born in 1991, based between Paris and Hong Kong. With a classical dance background, her practice stems from a childhood revelation inspired by the work of Maurice Béjart, sparking an obsession with movement and its disappearance. Trained in fashion design and fine arts, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice (sculpture, painting, photography, installation) that explores themes of time, memory, and identity. Since 2017, she has been conducting research projects that have resulted in exhibitions in galleries and institutions such as the CICA Museum and the Zeitz Cape Town.
