Description
This intriguing sculpture embodies a stylized human figure, emerging from a dark rectangular base that lends stability and weight to the work. The body is soberly depicted, but the emphasis is on the subtle details of the drapery, evoking flowing garments, highlighting the fine craftsmanship. The head, at the top, is simplified, almost primal, evoking a timeless and contemplative expression. The earthy and metallic color palette enriches the work's natural appearance, adding depth and texture. The balance between abstraction and representation gives this piece an enigmatic quality, captivating the viewer's eye. Each angle offers a new perspective, inviting continued exploration. This majestic and mysterious piece questions the duality between the finite and the infinite, the tangible and the ethereal, ensuring an unforgettable and timeless presence.
Presentation
He settled down in the Province quite early and landscapes, symbols and the regional traditions remain his main source of inspiration. He uses them in oil painting, ceramics or bronze sculptures. Through a very rich and colored palette, Jean-Pierre Mocci uses a technique, a lot like the watercolorists, through finesse and smoothness in his work.
His works are part of several private collections.
