"Silent Power" is a striking sculpture handcrafted from iron and mounted on a textured concrete base, measuring 49x28x12 cm and weighing 2.3 kg. This poised figure, with an upright stance and flowing golden fabric at the waist, emanates quiet confidence and self-possession. The contrast between the raw, dark wire form and the soft shimmer of the golden element speaks to the duality of strength and elegance. A tribute to feminine resilience and inner force, this piece commands attention not through loud expression, but through dignified presence.
Presentation
Karen Axikyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1963. He has always loved art and lives there. At different periods of his life, Karen Axikyan was interested in different spheres of art. First he drew oil paintings, then he started painting beautiful batik scarves, and then he moved on to the amazing world of sculptures.
In short, he is interested in everything related to art. For the past 15 years, he has been creating metal sculptures. It is said that he has a huge zoo with his different and wild animals. As Karen Axikyans says, he does not decide which animal what type of emotion the sculpture should have, he decides its emotion. Without having any cultural education, he was always in art, the only education he received was the artist who was his neighbor and he generally spent his time following the artists' works.
Karen Axikyan says metal is an instrument through which she can convey her emotional states. When creating a sculpture, her soul seems to be cleansed. Her latest collection is called "Little World" because the sculptures are so small they can fit in the palm of her hand.
