Description
This work was created by world-renowned Zimbabwean artist Caleb Samhere. The stone used for this sculpture is Serpentine Springstone, which is beautiful and very hard. This sculpture can be installed indoors or outdoors. This serpentine bust embodies a striking expression of realism and emotion. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in every fold of skin and every strand of hair, giving the figure an almost palpable presence. In particular, the powerful face seems filled with intense introspection, marked by the wrinkles of time and experience. The slightly inclined pose of the bust suggests movement and inner reflection. The contrast between the smooth surface of the bronze and the textured details accentuates the dynamism of the work. The subtle treatment of light, reflected by the polished metal, enriches the depth and vitality of the model. This masterpiece is distinguished by its ability to capture the human essence in an inert material, creating an immediate emotional connection with the viewer. A shining example of sculptural virtuosity.
