Description
Work created by the world-renowned Zimbabwean artist Caleb Samhere. The stone used for this sculpture is serpentine Springstone, which is beautiful and very hard. This sculpture can be installed indoors or outdoors. This captivating bust, carved from serpentine, embodies a perfect fusion of strength and grace. The smooth texture of the material lends a timeless elegance, accentuating the distinctive facial features. Gazing upwards, the figure exudes an aura of determination and hope. The finely detailed hair, tied in a neat bun, adds a contemporary touch to this classic work. The robust lines of the neckline and shoulders contrast harmoniously with the delicacy of the facial features, emphasizing the duality of human hardness and softness. The painstaking attention to detail enriches the sculpture with a poignant realism, capturing the very essence of human expression. This bust is not simply to be gazed upon; It engages the viewer in an introspective reflection on the resilience and intrinsic beauty of the human spirit.
