Work created by the world-renowned Zimbabwean artist Caleb Samhere. The stone used for this sculpture is Verdite (a semi-precious stone), which is beautiful and very hard, with tones that can range from green to gold. This sculpture can be installed indoors or outdoors. This striking sculpture represents a bust in Verdite, revealing an exceptional mastery of anatomical and expressive details. The face, deeply marked by an intense expression, exudes a captivating inner strength. The finely chiseled features, notably the penetrating gaze and the expressive mouth, illustrate remarkable technical skill. The texture of the skin, rendered with stunning precision, amplifies the feeling of dynamism and life. The meticulously carved hair ornaments add a cultural and narrative dimension, reinforcing the singular identity of the character represented. This masterpiece demonstrates a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity, distinguished by its ability to convey complex emotions through apparent formal simplicity. A work that challenges and invites deep contemplation.
