Description
With 'Pollock', Vincent Duchêne has created a work that is as playful as it is striking, combining humour, energy and creative freedom. Inspired by the colourful and unstructured world of dripping, this sculpture embodies a true homage to gestural expressionism while infusing it with a resolutely pop and offbeat touch.
Made of painted metal, the work captivates with its dynamic colours – sunny yellow, vibrant green and electric blue – enhanced by black splashes, recalling the spontaneity and power of the pictorial gesture. The character, in balance, communicates a contagious joie de vivre, a raw energy that immediately catches the eye and attracts sympathy.
Every detail reflects the skill of Vincent Duchêne, who transforms industrial materials into artistic icons full of character. With 'Pollock', the artist offers much more than a sculpture: he offers a signature piece, at the crossroads of contemporary art and popular culture.
An ideal choice for collectors seeking originality and striking pieces that can bring sparkle and uniqueness to any interior or contemporary art collection.
Presentation
From the age of 14, with a welding machine and old rusty parts, Vincent Duchêne gives free rein to his imagination.
Self-taught sculptor who collects what you no longer pay attention to, he brings pieces of metal back to life that become unique works of art. You will then take another look at these pieces, which will have a second, much more noble life.
His works are filled with emotion, sometimes very colorful. Each of them is unique. You will discover contemporary works, always imbued with the sensitivity and soul of the artist.
Making his Minions out of fire extinguishers made him a successful artist.
