Description
Idan Zareski's sculptures are instantly recognizable by their exaggerated proportions and deep emotional resonance. Part of the iconic “big foot familly" series, coolfoot is a resin sculpture illustrating Idan Zareski's unique artistic vision of a tolerant and multiracial world. His personal journey, which has taken him to many countries, has led him to discover different cultures that are now an integral part of his work. Idan does not plan, organize, or draw his works. He lets himself be guided by his emotions. The exaggerated size of the feet, symbol of the “big foot familly," expresses man's attachment to the earth and its roots. His works are exhibited worldwide (Colombia, Costa Rica, United States, France, Italy, Monaco, Switzerland, etc.).
Presentation
Idan Zareski was born in Haifa in 1968, in Israel; he is also a French citizen. His life allowed him to travel in many countries, and thus to discover different cultures that are today part of his work. He never went to an art school or to anatomy classes. His artistic talent is innate and he quickly realized it. The artist has never planned, organized or drawn his artworks. It's only his feelings that guide him in his work. By the way most of his artworks are realized in less than an hour. When he works, he says to be in a perfect communion with a strength stronger than him, as if he was forced to use this gift. He carves his artworks with the help of argil, water and fire to then transform them in bronze. He is still astonished by the way the feelings can be passed without a word and thanks to art. Today Idan Zareski is completely dedicated to art and settled in Costa Rica. His artworks have been exhibited in many countries as France, Monaco, Switzerland, Italy, Costa Rica, Colombia or even the United States.
